Terms of Service

Read these terms carefully before using CoRide. They outline the rules that keep our seat-sharing community safe, fair, and transparent.

Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, registering, or using the CoRide app, you agree to these Terms of Service.
If you do not agree with any provision, you must discontinue use of the platform immediately.
These terms form a legally binding agreement between you and CoRide Technologies Pvt. Ltd., a company incorporated under the laws of India.
We may update these terms periodically. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

You must be at least 18 years of age to create an account on CoRide.
Registration is completed via OTP-based verification — a valid Indian mobile number is mandatory.
Passengers must complete Government ID verification (Aadhaar or equivalent) to receive a Verified User Badge and access all platform features.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
One person may hold only one account. Duplicate accounts may result in permanent suspension.

CoRide is a seat-based cab-sharing platform connecting drivers with empty seats to passengers travelling in the same direction — we are not a taxi or transport operator.
Drivers may Post a Ride by listing available seats, departure time, and route. Passengers may Search and Book available rides.
All users must treat fellow co-riders with respect. Harassment, discrimination, or threatening behaviour is strictly prohibited and may result in immediate suspension.
Riders using the Women-Only Ride option confirm they are registered female users. Misuse of this feature is a violation of these terms.
Cancellations and no-shows negatively affect your Ride Compatibility Score and overall rating, which other users can see.
Smoking, alcohol consumption, and carrying illegal substances inside a shared ride is forbidden.
Drivers must hold a valid Indian Driving Licence, vehicle RC, and active insurance at all times.
Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. Infant car-seats remain the rider's responsibility.

Ride fares are calculated by our AI Fare Suggestion engine based on distance, fuel rates, number of co-passengers, and seat selection.
Dynamic Pricing may apply during peak demand periods — the final price is always shown before booking confirmation.
The total fare is split equally among confirmed co-passengers. Each passenger pays only their proportional share.
Payments are processed via UPI, credit/debit cards, or CoRide Wallet. Cash is not accepted.
Subscription Plans for frequent travellers offer discounted fares and priority matching — billed monthly or annually.
Premium Driver Membership and Featured Ride Listing fees are non-refundable once the billing cycle has begun.
Loyalty Rewards and Referral Bonus credits are non-transferable and have no cash value.

Soliciting rides or payments outside the CoRide platform to evade platform fees or safety records.
Creating fake accounts, reviews, ratings, or Verified User Badges.
Attempting to reverse-engineer, scrape, or exploit the CoRide app, API, or AI matching system.
Misusing the SOS Emergency Button or submitting false safety reports.
Using CoRide for commercial transportation or for-hire services without written approval from CoRide Technologies.
Sharing your account credentials with any third party.

CoRide provides Ride Insurance Coverage during active trips. Coverage terms are defined by our insurance partner and shared at the time of booking.
CoRide acts as an intermediary platform. We do not own vehicles and are not liable for accidents caused by third-party drivers beyond the insurance coverage provided.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, CoRide's aggregate liability for non-insured matters shall not exceed the amount paid by you in the preceding 3 months.
We are not liable for delays or cancellations arising from force majeure or user-initiated changes.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of India.
Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Bengaluru, Karnataka.
Before pursuing legal action, parties agree to attempt resolution through good-faith negotiation for at least 30 days.

Either party may terminate this agreement at any time by deactivating the account.
CoRide reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms without prior notice.
Upon termination, your right to use the platform ceases immediately. Pending transactions will be settled and unused Wallet balance refunded.
Accumulated Loyalty Rewards and Referral Bonus credits are forfeited upon account termination due to a violation.
